A chat deletion reportedly takes a dot with it

A user reported on October 23 that deleting a “New chat” entry from ChatGPT’s recent conversations also made their existing dot disappear, after which a replacement began setup again. The user says the flow gave no warning that the dot would be removed; whether the original data was permanently erased remains unknown. The report has no independent reproduction, developer explanation or recovery outcome.

The user says manual editing in Slack still works. Whether creation and editing use the same acting identity, and what causes the failure, remain unconfirmed.

Hi3D releases a geometry refiner

Hi3D released v1.0 model artifacts and inference code on October 23 for refining a coarse mesh using a reference image. The output is geometry, without generated textures or materials. The release omits training code and the evaluation harness, so access to the model does not by itself reproduce the reported comparisons.
